Renovations

The GRAMMY Museum is investing nearly $5 million in state-of-the-art curatorial and interactive guest experiences, including renovations to all four floors of the Museum, as well as new technology that will be available to visitors. Starting this August, the first phase of these renovations is set to begin with the closure and complete renovation of the third-floor gallery. The third-floor gallery space will re-open to the public in November 2019, filled with new exhibits and interactives.

The GRAMMY Museum remains dedicated to providing guests with an incredible experience during the current renovation project. However, some impacts of the project may affect visitors. Therefore General Admission ticket prices have been discounted during the renovation period.

MUSIC HAS A HOME, AND...

IT’S GETTING MORE EXPERIENTIAL

Your favorite exhibits are getting a revamp! Our mono-to-surround exhibit will soon transform from one room to two completely immersive rooms where you will not only learn about the history of recorded sound, you will actually get to experience it.

ES SU CASA TAMBIEN

As a Los Angeles institution dedicated to embracing and showcasing the diversity in our community and in music, we are looking forward to opening our new Latin gallery, which will showcase the history of the Latin GRAMMYs and expand our Latin music-focused exhibits. All text in this space will be in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

IT’S GETTING MORE INTERACTIVE

The Museum is investing in new state-of-the-art technology that will allow our guests to interact with touch screens, visual displays, and collaborative interfaces in each of our gallery spaces.

AND IT’S GETTING MORE INSTA-WORTHY

We know how enjoyable it is for guests to have fun areas to be able to take photos of their experience here at the Museum and share it with their loved ones. This is why we are upgrading the overall visual aesthetic of our space and adding fun photo opportunities.

IT’S TELLING THE STORIES OF OUR EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING

The GRAMMY Museum is not just a Museum, we're a non-profit dedicated to broadening the reach of our music education and preservation initiatives within our community. We will have a new display showcasing some of the incredible programs and work of our Community Engagement and Education departments throughout the year.
