Share

As part of the GRAMMY Museum’s Programs at Home series, Moderator Scott Goldman talks with renowned singer-songwriter & performer Zakiya Hooker about the making of her new album, Legacy. Following the conversation, Zakiya performs a couple songs.

Zakiya is a literal heir to one of the most uniquely American musical traditions – the blues – and to one of its most distinctive and acclaimed innovators, her father John Lee Hooker. On her newest project Legacy, available everywhere now including all major streaming sites, Zakiya explores and revitalizes the sounds of blues, jazz, classic pop, and the early days of rock & roll.
