The Drop: Bush

Multi-platinum rock band Bush are set to release their much-anticipated seventh album Black and White Rainbows (Caroline) on March 10. Written and recorded by lead vocalist Gavin Rossdale, the album is the follow-up to 2014’s Man on the Run and features the recently released single “Mad Love,” the propulsive “Dystopia,” the sweeping chorus of “Lost in You,” and “People at War,” which Rossdale wrote in summer 2016 in honor of World Refugee Day. Over the course of their career, Bush have sold nearly 20 million records in the U.S. and Canada alone. They’ve also compiled a string of 18 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts. Eleven of those hit the Top 5, six of which shot to No. 1: “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Machinehead,” “Swallowed,” “The Chemicals Between Us,” and “The Sound of Winter.” Rossdale is currently serving as a coach on the hit television series, “The Voice UK,” and recently signed a publishing deal with Roc Nation. Rossdale and crew recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the landmark album Razorblade Suitcase with a digital reissue featuring four rare bonus tracks, one of which — “Sleeper”—was previously unreleased. Ahead of the album’s release and their upcoming headlining tour (kicking off May 4 in Dallas) the GRAMMY Museum welcomes lead vocalist and founding member Gavin Rossdale to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation on the band’s forthcoming new album and his career, moderated by Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation. The conversation will be followed by a performance from Bush (Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Robin Goodridge).
