Wanda Jackson — an iconic performer known as the "Queen of Rockabilly"—will discuss her career and her new autobiography, Every Night is Saturday Night: A Country Girl’s Journey to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Oklahoma native landed more than 30 singles on the country and pop charts between 1954 and 1974, including "Let’s Have a Party," "Right or Wrong," and "In the Middle of a Heartache." Every Night is Saturday Night is the pioneering artist’s chance to share personal memories of her relationship with Elvis; the hurdles she overcame as a woman who introduced sex appeal to country music and growling femininity to rock & roll; how her deep faith has sustained her over more than seven decades of rocking, shocking, and thrilling audiences around the globe; and much more. The Q&A will be moderated by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Scott Goldman, and will be followed by a special performance. After the program, Jackson sign copies of her book in the Museum store.
