The Drop: Old Dominion

Ahead of their 2018 Happy Endings world tour, the GRAMMY Museum welcomes acclaimed country rockers Old Dominion to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation and performance, hosted by Museum Executive Director Scott Goldman. Blending old-fashioned country charm, lyrical wit and rock & roll grit into radio-friendly, hook-heavy pop nuggets, Old Dominion are not your average country band. Their debut album, Meat and Candy, was certified Gold by the RIAA and had several top-selling singles, including the two-week No. 1 “Break Up With Him” (Platinum), “Snapback” (Gold) and “Song For Another Time,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay and MediaBase charts. In 2016, the band was notably named ACM New Group of the YearACCA Breakthrough Group of the Year, AIMP Songwriter Artist of the Year and Music Row Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Produced again by GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and producer Shane McAnally, the band’s sophomore album Happy Endings debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 7 on the Billboard 200 following its release. Old Dominion also recently received an American Music Awards nomination for Favorite Duo or Group—Country and two nominations for the Country Music Association Awards for New Artist of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.
