The Drop: Of Monsters and Men

Just one week after the release of their highly anticipated new album, FEVER DREAM, much-acclaimed Icelandic group Of Monsters and Men will visit the GRAMMY Museum for an intimate conversation on the new album, moderated by Scott Goldman. The discussion will be followed by a performance from the band. Of Monsters and Men went from the talk of Iceland to the top of the global conversation on their 2011 debut, . Not only did the record go platinum, but it also produced an international smash in the form of “Little Talks.” The breakthrough single earned a quintuple-platinum certification from the RIAA, made history as “the first song by an Icelandic band to cross 1 billion streams on Spotify,” and landed the band a performance on . The group appeared on official soundtracks for and , to name a few. In addition to performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Firefly, and beyond, they supported Florence + the Machine on a high-profile arena tour. In the midst of this rapid rise, their 2015 sophomore album, bowed in the Top 3 of the Top 200, and the band starred in an episode of HBO’s that same year. Their new album, FEVER DREAM, was co-produced by the band and Rich Costey (MUSE, Vampire Weekend, Chvrches) and will be released through Republic Records on July 26. Their bombastic new single, “Alligator,” is already turning heads and is just a taste of what’s to come on the album.
