Mary Poppins Returns: An Evening With Marc Shaiman, Score Composer, Songwriter, And Lyricist, And Scott Wittman, Lyricist

The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome Marc Shaiman, score composer, songwriter, and lyricist,  and Scott Wittman, lyricist, for the new, upcoming Disney film Mary Poppins Returns. The evening will include a conversation with Shaiman and Wittman, moderated by GRAMMY Museum Artistic Director Scott Goldman, discussing the making of the original music for the film, followed by a special performance of songs from the movie.

In Mary Poppins Returns, the all new original musical and sequel, in U.S. theaters December 19, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Emily Blunt (“A Quiet Place,” “The Girl on the Train”) stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton,” “Moana”) plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London.
