Celebrating John Lee Hooker: King Of The Boogie

Featuring a conversation with Diane Roan- Hooker and Zakiya Hooker

In conjunction with the opening of the GRAMMY Museum’s latest special exhibit, John Lee Hooker: King of the Boogie, we are honored to welcome Diane Roan-Hooker and Zakiya Hooker, daughters of the legendary blues artist, to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation, hosted by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Scott Goldman. The conversation will be followed by a special performance from Zakiya. Presented in conjunction with the John Lee Hooker Estate and Craft Recordings, John Lee Hooker: King of the Boogie originally opened at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi—Hooker’s home state—in 2017, the year of Hooker’s centennial. On display for a limited time only through June 2018, the exhibit will feature rare recordings and unique items from the Hooker estate.
