Fender Presents John 5: Professor of Shredology
Insight from One of Hard Rock's Greatest Guitarists
Wednesday, March 31, 2010; 7:30pm
PROGRAM NOTES
Guitarist John 5 has compiled one of the most impressive resumes in rock. In addition to his own solo work, his commanding riffs and composition skills have brought him into collaboration with Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth, Salt-N-Pepa, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others, most recently earning him a coveted spot playing with hard rock icon Rob Zombie. A self-described "Fender fanatic," John 5 possesses a jaw-dropping collection of Telecaster guitars ("the greatest guitars ever built, by far, hands down," he said). Such is his love for the instrument that Fender introduced the J5 Telecaster (and J5 Special Edition acoustic) in 2004 and the J5 Triple Tele Deluxe in 2007. Join us as he demonstrates his masterful techniques, breaks down his signature gear, talks about life on the road and songs from his latest album, Requiem. John 5 will answer questions and sign autographs immediately following the program.
