SECOND FLOOR
Journeying down to the second floor, you're taken behind the scenes one more memorable time. Taking a comfortable seat in the Museum's Sound Stage, you have a chance to witness The GRAMMY Experience. Shot backstage throughout the 50th Annual GRAMMY Celebration, this film lets you feel firsthand the excitement, energy, and power of the GRAMMY show, right alongside the artists and producers themselves.

The second floor is also home to the museum's Special Exhibits Gallery. Here, unique temporary exhibits developed by the museum as well as borrowed from other institutions are showcased on a rotating basis.
Songs of Conscience, Sounds of Freedom
"Songs of Conscience, Sounds of Freedom," is the first major museum exhibit to explore the full 200-year history of music and politics in America. Developed by the GRAMMY Museum, it brings together more than one hundred diverse artifacts, from both government archives and private collections, as well as from myriad musical artists who have participated in social movements during the last century. Together with rare film footage and photos, these reveal the depth to which music has been, and continues to be, a political force in American society.
